Cricket is for everyone

The nice thing about cricket is that it not only the result of the whole team that counts, but also the points scored by the individual players that matters. So you play for the team and for yourself. Cricket is a tactical game, in which not always the best or strongest, but sometimes the smartest team wins.

There is no physical contact with each other during the game. Therefore, boys and girls can play well together in mixed teams. The game is played with a soft or hard ball. With hard ball cricket, you have to wear with a helmet and legguards (leg protectors) for protection.

After a match, you will have lunch with the opponent. In the summer whole families sit along the boundary. The atmosphere around the cricket ground is usually very pleasant and extremely friendly. Cricket is a sport where respect for the opponent and for the referee is very important. That's the Spirit of Cricket! Oh yes, some of the players from the major cricket countries living in the Netherlands speak English. At your club you will therefore automatically also learn to speak English.
